Where do I buy name brand Sony batteries for camcorder?
I have tried purchasing the batteries that claim to be compatible, but they are not. When I put them in, there is an error message on the screen and powers off. I need a SONY battery, model # NP-FM30. Any help on where I can find this will be greatly appreciated!!

Can I use my Sony/Canon camcorder batteries into an adapter to power other things? (See my details)?
Basically a long time ago I saw this third party product. you could snap your sony battery into it, and a cable comes out, and you could put little adapter heads on it and – thus- use your spare sony batteries to power ….say… an LCD monitor.
Ive been trying to find them now, using words like adapters and converters but all I get is chargers and car equpiment. Im lookin to strap this to the back of my LCD monitor, so it can run on my canon batteries. (XL2 batteries)
any ideas?

In theory there is nothing stopping this from working, however I’ve never heard/seen such a product. If you do find one, just be mindfull of the output voltage.
A LCD monitor would suck the batteries dry pretty quickly too…

Chinese copy batteries rarely fail, so I say they are OK.
The cheap chinese battery chargers are a different story though, they reek havoc on the memory of the sony batteries and they will eventually mess them up.

When I insert the batteries into my sony video camcorder lamp, the light does not come up. Why?
The video lamp model is HVL-10NH. I inserted 4 AA rechargeabe batteries. The battery indicator shows battery crossed with a stroke. What does this mean? What do I do?

I have an old Samsung SCA30 8mm video camcorder,but the battery has gone bad. I’ve heard that a battery for the Sony camcorder NP55 is compatible. Online they’re pretty cheap…Just wondering if it’s true or not..
